Michal Marek iOS 9.3 brought with it a major problem that on some devices web links could not be opened. The error was system-wide and even installing a different web browser didn't help. Fortunately, Apple has already solved the problem and released a fix update called iOS 9.3.1.
The update description directly mentions fixing the issue, and in our experience, the bug actually goes away after installation. iOS 9.3.1 most likely does not bring other changes and news.
You can download the update now, over the air Settings iOS devices and via iTunes. The update is relatively small in terms of data volume, ranging somewhere between 20 and 40 MB depending on the device.
I confirm that everything is fine on the iP5 after this update.

You are right! I was so looking forward to Night shift this time that I couldn't stand it. And the function is still not there :(

Right. I would think that NightShift is a functionality that could easily work on my iPhone4S as well. Working with display colors is not difficult... :-/

I have an iPad 4th and I would welcome Night Shift there. The tablet is normally enough for me to read the web while eating and I don't need to buy a new one. Apple certainly won't force me to buy a new one with obvious wear and tear on older products, rather the opposite. Over the years, I've learned that a tablet isn't exactly a must-have for me, and what I'm looking at, I'm far from alone. And since the iPad doesn't mean any key benefit to me, I'll end up adding these stupid practices to the reasons why I'm not likely to buy another iPad.
But that's up to Apple, it's him who has been losing iPads for a long time, and if he thinks that he will win the sympathy of customers with this...
On the one hand, I agree that devices like the iP5 or iPad 4 certainly wouldn't have a performance problem with features like Night Shift, and at least part of the reason it's not available on them is Apple trying to incentivize buying a newer product. On the other hand, Apple supports its devices for perhaps the longest time of all manufacturers, and as far as I know, the iPad 4 and iP5 are the last devices in the series that have a 32-bit architecture. It may therefore not be worthwhile for them to specially adapt new system functions to older, performance-sufficient, but programming-wise different, hardware. I'm not a programmer though, so I could be wrong about this.
There is support and support. It feels fine with such Macs and I've never had a significant problem, I really appreciate it there. Even my old MBP 2010 runs here with El Capitan like when I was young (with SSD and 8GB RAM).
On the other hand, I don't think much about the support situation for iOS devices. It is already a rule that an iOS device is the fastest with the iOS it was released with, any other version brings slowdown to literally unusability (e.g. on the mentioned iPad 4th, iOS 7, 8 and 9 were downright choppy for several months before the Xth came out update). Even now on 9.3 I have to turn off transparency to have smooth multitasking anyway. Into this comes the nonsense in the form of the impossibility of going back to older versions of the system, which is also a specialty of iOS only. Thanks to Apple for this support.
With the first version of iOS 6 (which was supposed to be purely about tuning), such an iPhone 9 also got a solid ball on its leg, but I don't think it would run miraculously even on my current 6S in the current version. Some stuttering or lag here and there is the order of the day.
In my opinion, Night Shift is purely about that artificial limitation. In short, 32/64-bit seemed like a reasonable line to Apple, from a programmer's point of view, I can't imagine what kind of problem or extra work there should be.
That's how I like it! A problem appears and a fix is installed within a few days. That's the way it's supposed to be :) .
Although it would be better if the problem did not appear at all, it is probably unavoidable sometimes.
Is that supposed to be sarcasm? For 9 days, it was difficult to open links in Google search on a mobile phone, as well as to open links to new bookmarks.
Just turned off JAVA in the settings and it worked. Googling more on foreign forums.
I think you meant javascript. This solution did not work for me, I had to restart the phone and Safari. And even if, turning off JS would disable the functionality of many websites. What the developers managed to do, that with browsing on the phone, the phone was an unusable device for a whole week, is simply a fact.
Hmm, as much as I respect the debate here about the internet addict and modern technologies, I'm quite sad about where the world is going. It was a really big hassle to limit JS and thus make most of the links work!! Use your phone vic for phone calls and the Internet on tablets, laptops and desktops!! But most importantly, communicate f2f and not like a zombie through the keys with a blue (or orange) enlightened face!! I wouldn't expect it to be me who would say it, I'm also partly attached by an umbilical cord to technology, but I think it's time to limit it... Otherwise, we'll all end up in a bad place!!!
Your idea has something in it, but it is not quite right, since we are on a portal dedicated to Apple devices. I'm a web developer myself, I've never seen something as critical as this on iOS and on any OS at all.
Well, I've only been with Apple for about 5 years and it's true that this was forced and limiting :-) And that's exactly why I stopped mainly at myself... And I'll start by deleting the application that I haven't used this year yet... There are definitely some in my devices nothing more than a bullet...
Sometimes I feel that he is Mr. Perfect himself, with whom everyone is always 100% satisfied and who does not make any mistakes. Those of you who don't like Apple and its approach can always switch brands, right?
This probably doesn't belong here, but yesterday in the Dresden apple store, a salesman told me that there will be an apple store in Prague within a year. That they already advertise vacancies in their internal system. So maybe he didn't make a mistake and knows where Prague is :-)

Look, if you had written it on another day, it might be possible to speculate about it, but before construction/remodeling starts somewhere, some salesperson will not know about it. This is not the first time these false hopes have appeared. Not even a number of western cities/countries where the market potential and purchasing power is much higher than in Prague/Czech Republic have a brick-and-mortar Apple Store. For this reason alone, it is highly unlikely that there will be anything here in a year.
spotlight search does not work for me after the update. Do you not have this experience?
For me, after the update, the iPhone 5S discharges very quickly, and it seems to me that, on the contrary, it charges very slowly.
