Apple has been clearly targeting health in recent years. Whether it's the application of the same name in iOS or the direction of products such as the Apple Watch. Recently, however, experts who were behind the birth of the entire department have been leaving the team.

The report was brought by the CNBC server, which captured the entire situation in the team focused on health. Another direction became the basic dispute. Part wants to move further in the current direction and focus its attention on features in iOS and watchOS.

However, many feel that Apple could leap for far greater challenges. These include, for example, the integration of medical devices, telemedicine and/or the processing of fees in the healthcare sector. However, these more progressive voices remain unheard.

Apple has everything you need. It has a significant financial reserve, so it can further invest in development. In addition, two years ago he bought the startup Beddit, which deals with monitoring and analyzing sleep. But nothing visible is happening.

And so some decided to leave the company. For example, Christine Eun, who worked at Apple for eight long years, or Matt Krey, who also left the health team.

From the health team to the arms of Bill Gates

Another expert left last week, Andrew Trister, headed to Bill Gates at his Gates Foundation. After three years of working at Apple in the health department, he went to face bigger challenges. The team suffered a loss again.

Of course, many employees remain. Jeff Williams also wants to focus on the whole situation, to whom the team now answers. Williams has already contacted some of the members personally and wants to focus on the current issue with further direction and finding a vision for the health section. Unfortunately, he also has many other departments under him, so he cannot devote as much time to the matter as he would like.

He therefore relies on the help of other leaders such as Kevin Lynch, Eugene Kim (Apple Watch) or Sumbul Desai (Apple Wellness Center). It seems that it will be necessary to unify the visions of individual workers and give the whole team a new direction.

There is no threat of a crisis yet, as there are not so many departures yet. At least in the upcoming version of iOS and watchOS, we will not see such fundamental changes. On the other hand, in the long term, some surprises can and probably must come. Otherwise, LinkedIn will be swarming with more renegades.
