This week, we saw the presentation of the new generation of Apple phones with the designation iPhone 13. Specifically, these are four new models that have not changed much in terms of design, with the exception of a smaller upper cutout, but they still have a lot to offer. In any case, a slight change came in the case of the packaging itself, which Apple presents as more ecological. The plastic film that holds the entire box has been removed.

Introducing the iPhone 13:

Of course, this change naturally invites all kinds of questions. Without this film, how does Apple ensure that the lid of the package does not separate from the box. It didn't take long and we received an answer. This time it was provided by a well-known leaker acting under a pseudonym duanrui on his Twitter. This time, the Cupertino giant bet on a strip of hard paper that is glued to both parts and holds them together. For easy opening, the paper can of course be easily torn off, which can also be seen in the photo below. In this way, it is also possible to immediately see whether the given piece was opened before the sale, or whether it came into the hands of the customer in an unchanged form from the Chinese factory.

According to official information, Apple decided on this change for a simple reason - due to ecology and emphasis on the environment. Of course, there are also opinions on the Internet that this happened more because of cost reduction. Of course, it is unclear whether the first or the second option applies. The truth can be somewhere in the middle.
