Apple has put a limit on purchasing products directly from the website. The restriction applies to iPhones, iPads and Macbooks. And that includes the Czech Republic. The reason is the COVID-19 pandemic, which slows down the production and delivery of new products. It is not yet clear when sales will return to normal.

Limits vary by product type. For example, a maximum of two pieces applies to individual iPhone models. For example, you can still buy 2x iPhone 11 Pro and 2x iPhone 11 Pro Max. The restriction also applies to older models such as the iPhone XR or iPhone 8. The iPad Pro is also limited to two pieces. Mac mini and Macbook Air are limited to five units.

Most users won't be bothered by this limitation, but it could be a problem for development companies where, for example, iPhones are needed for software testing. One of the reasons is the prevention of bulk purchase and subsequent resale at a higher price in areas where Apple products are currently lacking.

In China, factories have already started to start up, and before long production should return to normal, and we may not even feel the momentary shortage of Apple devices. After all, the world currently has bigger problems to deal with than the lack of phones, tablets and laptops.
