In the spring, there was news that Apple had discontinued the development of its AirPort series routers, and after the stock was sold out, these products would disappear from the offer for good. And that's exactly what happened today, starting this afternoon you can no longer buy AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule.

Apple no longer offers the above-mentioned products both through the official website and in brick-and-mortar stores around the world. If you are interested in any networking products, Apple currently offers equivalents from Linksys, which replace the original AirPorts.

If you are still interested in an AirPort, it is still possible to find it at various electronics retailers, both here and abroad. The service of these products will be possible for another five years from the official end of sales, i.e. from today.

Apple's networking products received their last hardware update in 2013 and have not been "touched" by Apple since then. As early as 2016, there was speculation that all further development in this industry had been terminated and that Apple would no longer be involved in it. It has been said that there is no point in operating in a field in which there are a large number of other players for whom networks are their specialty. This may also be one of the reasons why Apple chose Linksys as the supplier of officially offered network solutions.
