Apple introduced Apple Music Classical. After a relatively long wait and several speculations, we finally got the official unveiling of a new streaming service that will focus exclusively on classical music. The entire action leading to this step began already in August 2021, when Apple bought the Primephonic service. At one time, it focused precisely on the mentioned classical music and therefore provided listeners with access to a worldwide library of classical music. However, the wait is finally over.

As Apple directly mentioned in its statement, Apple Music Classical provides a simple and fast way to access the world's largest library of classical music. Her fans will thus be able to enjoy music in first-class sound quality, of course also in combination with the immersive spatial sound of Spatial Audio. The service will also immediately offer hundreds of already organized playlists, while there will also be biographies of individual authors and a simple user interface.

Price and availability

Apple Music Classical is getting its own app, which is now available in the App Store. You can currently "pre-order" it, which means it will be automatically installed on your iPhone the day it launches. Unfortunately, it is not available for iPads. However, regarding the price, in order to use this service, it is necessary to have an active subscription to the music platform Apple Music. Although the novelty has its own application, it is still part of Apple's streaming service.

Apple Music Classical will be available in March, namely on 28/3/2023. So if you head to the App Store now and click the button Gain, will be automatically installed for you on this day. It is also worth noting that it requires the operating system iOS 15.4 or later and, of course, an Internet connection. The service will be available worldwide wherever Apple Music is available. The only exceptions are China, Japan, Korea, Russia and Taiwan.
