A highly anticipated feature called App Tracking Transparency (ATT) has been rumored for practically several months. It has now arrived together with the iOS/iPadOS 14.5 system and we can finally enjoy it to the full. This is actually a new rule where apps will have to explicitly ask if we agree to be tracked across other apps and websites. Apple warns anyway. Any developer who will try to "bribe" Apple with a sum of money or access to better functions will face a harsh punishment - his application will be removed from the App Store.

With the introduction of this news, of course, the conditions of the App Store had to be adjusted. These are located on the Apple Developer website, specifically in the section Accessing User Data, it is directly listed what the developers are not allowed to do in view of the mentioned tracking approval. It will therefore be against the rules, for example, to lock some functions of the given programs, which would not be accessible to those who do not agree to the monitoring. At the same time, it must not create similar system alerts within its solution, including the creation of an identical button, and an image with a highlighted option must not be used here either Allow.

On the other hand, developers can still display an element before the challenge itself, in which they explain to apple buyers why they don't have to worry about granting consent. This can work in such a way that in such a window all the benefits that the user will receive along with the granting of consent, i.e. personalized advertisements and the like, will be listed.
