Apple revealed a few more details about Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade last night. We learned not only information about making the services available to regular users, but also their monthly price, including for the Czech market.

Apple TV +

Perhaps everyone was surprised by the low price of Apple TV+. It stopped at just $4,99 per month, even for family sharing, i.e. for up to six people. In the Czech Republic, the service costs CZK 139 per month, which is even less than in the case of Apple Music (CZK 149 per month for an individual and CZK 229 per month for a family). Anyone can get a 7-day free trial, and if you buy a new Apple product (iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Mac, or Apple TV), you'll get a year's worth of service for free.

Compared to other streaming services, TV+ has a good foothold in terms of pricing policy, and it could especially trouble Netflix, whose tariffs start at 199 crowns per month. However, the new service from Apple could partially compete with the popular HBO GO in our country, which costs 129 crowns per month.

Apple TV+ will launch on November 1, and right from the start, subscribers will get access to a total of 12 exclusive series, whose we have listed here. Of course, more content will be added throughout the year – some series will release all episodes at once, others will be released, for example, at weekly intervals.

Apple Arcade

We will be able to try out the Apple Arcade gaming platform next Thursday, September 19, i.e. as soon as the new iOS 13 and watchOS 6 are released. Around a hundred games should be available within the service right from the start. In all cases, these will be exclusive titles programmed exclusively for Apple Arcade.

Like TV+, Arcade also costs a Czech user 129 CZK per month, even for the whole family. Here, however, Apple will offer us a month's free membership, which is long enough to try out all the games and come to a conclusion whether or not the platform makes sense for us. You can look at samples from the game environment of the most interesting titles on Apple's website.
