In recent months, practically nothing else has been discussed in Apple circles other than the expected 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pro. This apple laptop should bring a number of great changes and innovations that are definitely worth paying attention to. Allegedly, for these reasons, even Apple itself should expect significantly stronger demand for this device, which is also demonstrated by the new entity in the supply chain.

According to the portal DigiTimes Apple has acquired a second supplier for surface mounting technology for mini-LED displays. Until now, the exclusive partner was Taiwan Surface Mounting Technology (TSMT), which was supposed to completely sponsor the production of displays for the 12,9″ iPad Pro and the expected MacBook Pro. It should offer a screen based on the same technology as the aforementioned tablet, which was introduced to the world only this year. Thanks to the use of a mini-LED display, it achieves the benefits of OLED panels at a significantly lower price. But it's not quite that simple. Even the iPad Pro itself was introduced in April, but it did not go on sale until the end of May. High demand and problems from the pandemic and the global shortage of chips are mainly to blame.

In addition to the mentioned mini-LED display, the new MacBook Pro should also bring a fundamental change in design, when the product will come closer to the shape of an iPad Pro or Air thanks to sharper edges. Of course, performance will not be left behind either, which should see a huge increase. A new M1X chip with a 10-core CPU and 16/32-core GPU is likely to be used. Respected sources and leakers are also talking about the return of popular connectors such as HDMI, SD card readers and MagSafe power port. At the same time, there is also talk of increasing the maximum operating memory from the current 16 GB (for Macs with the M1 chip) to 64 GB. But now Luke miani citing reliable sources, he said that the operating memory will be limited to 32 GB.
