Apple's primary market has always been the United States, where most profits come from and where the company also has the largest share among phone and computer manufacturers. But the European market is no less important for Apple, which he made ostentatiously clear yesterday on the British version of his website. The company devoted an entire elaborate page to the application economy and the jobs created on the old continent, where it mentions some interesting numbers.

According to its data, Apple has helped create 629 jobs in Europe, of which almost half a million are created indirectly, thanks to the app economy. Thus, 497 thousand people found a job as an employee of a development company or founded a business in this industry. 132 people are employed directly or indirectly by Apple (suppliers, accessory manufacturers), 000 people are employed directly by Apple. Another 16 jobs were created indirectly at other companies due to the growth of Apple itself.

During the entire existence of the App Store, Apple paid out over 20 billion dollars to developers, of which European developers took 6,5 billion, or 32,5 percent of all revenue generated by the App Store. Apple earned over 8,5 billion in the six years that the App Store has been in existence by selling applications from thirty percent commissions, although a large part of this income probably fell on the operation of the entire digital application store. Apple further estimates that the app economy in the App Store alone contributes up to $86 billion to the world's gross domestic product.

The company also reported some interesting country-by-country numbers. The United Kingdom is expected to have the most developers in the developer program with 61, followed by Germany with 100 developers. The third largest country for developers in the App Store is France with 52 people. Unfortunately, the Czech Republic is not listed in the overviews, after all the numbers are probably around a few thousand developers at the most.
