Vratislav Holub This year there was a lot of talk about the smart apple speaker. Although the HomePod is not officially sold on the Czech market, we can find it in the offer of various resellers. The first generation entered the market already two years ago, and that's why apple fans started talking about only one thing - will we see the second generation this year? Unfortunately, expectations were not fulfilled. On the contrary, we got a smaller sibling called HomePod Mini.

The HomePod Mini was able to arouse a lot of emotions when it was introduced. This is a fairly compact smart speaker with amazing functions. Of course, there is also a first-class connection with the Apple ecosystem, where the product can also identify the nearest iPhone and has no problem recognizing the voice of individual household members. The Californian giant ended its presentation with rather amazing news - the HomePod mini will be sold for just $99. But how is it in the Czech Republic, where even the classic HomePod is not available?
If you liked the product during today's keynote and started thinking about buying it, then we will have to disappoint you. At the moment, the Czech Online Store has already been updated, but the HomePod mini did not appear. For this reason, it can be expected that the product will not be officially sold in our region. However, the redemption could be various authorized resellers, through which we can buy the aforementioned HomePod from 2018. Since the mini version is not aimed at the Czech market, its official price is therefore not clear. However, it can be assumed that it should be around 2490 crowns.

Without Czech Siri, it's useless, at most for intercom calls between rooms :)
If it was Czech, they would be playing it here like Baťa cvikky, but hey, Czech stinks for them. After all, you can dictate in Czech, but not for Siri to read you a text in Czech - in carplay it's terrible..
You probably don't realize how small a market we are for them... it's not worth investing in us ;)
You probably don't know that Apple is already officially looking for speakers and grammarians for Czech Siri.
They should release it to our market as well. For some, the absence of Czech Siri is a problem, but many young people today do not see it as such a problem. Even people without much knowledge of English can use the HomePod well, and they can learn a few English instructions for Siri if they want to. If Alza can sell it, I see no reason why they can't have another APR and it would certainly find its takers. And what am I going to talk about - even the seller could support it and create a simple guide to at least some basic control of HomePod and Siri for Czech users. He just wants to want it. If people here (some) are able to use Siri on iPhone, why should it be a problem to use it on HomePod…
