This week, Bloomberg reported an interesting report that Apple has instructed TSMC to increase production of A13 processors. Considering that Bloomberg is a really reputable source, and that last year's iPhones are selling really well according to the latest information, there isn't much reason to not believe this report. Bloomberg also reports that the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro are doing unusually well in China.

The demand for these models reportedly exceeded not only the market's expectations, but also all of Apple's previous assumptions. The iPhone 11 is of particular interest, for which Apple managed to set a relatively bearable price. The most affordable of last year's iPhone models is one of the main reasons for increasing production at TSMC. Another reason may be Apple's preparation for the arrival of a new affordable model, which, according to some sources, should be launched already this spring. The expected new addition to Apple's smartphone family is being talked about as a successor to the popular iPhone SE, which should resemble the iPhone 8 in terms of design.

While the A2 processor is being talked about in connection with the "iPhone SE13", this year's standard product line of smartphones from Apple is expected to be equipped with A14 processors. Their production should take place at TSMC using the new 5nm process, and should start in the second quarter of this year.
