The new Apple Pay payment system, which the Californian company introduced together with the new iPhones, will start next month in the US. However, Apple wants to expand to Europe without delay, as evidenced by the company's new personnel acquisition. Mary Carol Harris, one of the most important women in Visa's European division since 2008, is heading to Apple. As this lady was the head of the company's mobile division, she also has experience with NFC technology, which Apple implemented in its new devices for the first time this year.

The Apple Pay system promises to change the routine process of everyday payment, for which it will use the NFC chip built into the "six" iPhones and the Apple Watch. In short, in Cupertino, they want to ease your wallet, and payment cards should be added to the Passbook system application in addition to loyalty cards, airline tickets and the like. In addition, they should receive high-quality security.

Mary Carol Harris also confirmed the change of job on her LinkedIn profile. You can also read from it the fact that this woman already has 14 years of experience in the field of digital and mobile payments. Harris is interesting to Apple not only because of her experience at VISA, but also because she worked for the NFC division in the British branch of Telefonica - O2.

Harris has many years of experience in mobile payment systems and is one of the pioneers in mobile and SMS payment schemes in developing markets. Apple hopes that thanks to this woman, it will establish new partnerships with banks in Europe and will be able to promote the Apple Pay service globally. For now, no Apple agreements with European banks have been made public.
