Over the weekend, Apple announced that it is launching a special service promotion for select Apple Watch Series 2 models. As part of this limited promotion, the company is offering truly free services for models that have a damaged battery and are therefore inoperable. This promotion applies to all official Apple stores and all authorized sales and service centers. The information comes from a leaked internal document.
The new service program applies to the 42mm version of the Apple Watch Series 2, which had a battery swelling that caused the watch to stop working. If you have experienced a similar problem with your watch, if properly diagnosed (based on inspection by a technician), Apple will repair your watch for free. The service promotion is valid for all watch models for which no more than three years have passed since the purchase.
This program more specifically applies to the 42mm models from Series 2 both from the classic production and the Nike+, Hermes and Edition variants. On the other hand, the program does not include watches from Series 1 and Series 3, as well as any 38 mm variants. In the past, there have been several cases on the web where the battery of some Apple Watch accidentally inflated and the watch stopped working. However, it is definitely not a more widespread problem. Have you encountered something similar in your area as well?

He didn't meet. :D … but please, I have an oxidized sapphire crystal from the inside (1st generation apple watch) – moisture must have gotten there, I don't spare them. You have no idea if a service could open the watch, clean the glass, and seal it again? I will be grateful for any advice,… :(
Unfortunately, the display of the 38 mm Watch "jumped" after about 1 month of use. The warranty was not recognized at the time, which made me quite angry…
