Apple, Google and Samsung are technological giants with a global presence. But even though these are such large companies, in certain respects they cough on us. One less, the second and third more, that is, at least with regard to their products and services.

All domestic Apple fans are certainly annoyed by how Apple ignores the Czech Siri, which is probably the most pressing problem for us. It is precisely because of the absence of this voice assistant that we do not have an official HomePod distribution here. Although we will also buy it here, but only as part of gray imports. It works perfectly correctly, you just have to speak one of the supported languages on it. This is probably also the reason why CarPlay is still not officially supported, even though we can also enjoy it in our country.

Another example is the Fitness+ platform or Apple Card, although here it is more complicated, similar to Apple Pay Cash. We also do not have a brick-and-mortar Apple Store, on the other hand, there are various official distributors scattered throughout the Czech Republic, such as Apple Premium Reseller, etc. We also have an Apple Online Store. Even though it may seem like it, Apple is a lot less likely to give up on us compared to the competition.

After all, times have changed a lot since the introduction of the iPhone 3G, when, for example, in 2011, Czech localization came to the then Mac OS X, now macOS. Previously, it was also common for the Czech Republic to fall into the second wave of distribution of new products, typically iPhones. Now Apple is launching sales all at once worldwide, so for us as well (and that's probably why they're suffering from a lack of market supply).

Google

But when you take a software giant like Google that's trying to target hardware as well, it's a lot different. Apple has understood that it needs to get its iPhones into as many markets as possible, which also makes it the second best selling smartphone in the world. Google is also dabbling in hardware, but in a much more limited way. Its Pixel phones are officially distributed only in a limited number of markets, among which the Czech Republic is missing. So you can get them here too, but it is a gray import, which also applies to his other products. He too now has smart watches or Pixelbooks.

You can't officially buy anything from Google here. His Google Store it only exists in 27 markets, in Europe, even in our neighbors from Germany or Austria, but whether we will ever see it in our country is a question. Since we are not a strong enough market for Google, it can be judged that this will happen sooner rather than later. Let's just add that even his voice assistant is not available in the Czech version.

Samsung

The South Korean manufacturer and largest seller of smartphones in the world, for example, has its own voice assistant Bixby, which is part of its Android superstructure called One UI, which of course also does not speak Czech. However, if we have Apple Pay and the Wallet application, Google Pay and Google Wallet, we will not enjoy the benefits of Samsung Wallet.

Samsung has a huge range of portfolio, where of course it also offers white technology, but in selected markets it also offers its Galaxy Books, i.e. portable computers, which are not only interesting in their equipment, but have a clear place in the interconnected ecosystem together with smartphones, tablets, watches and Samsung TVs. We're out of luck here, and it's quite a shame for Samsung phone owners, because we know all the benefits of the iPhone and Mac being linked.

But things may change soon, because the company has officially launched the Czech mutation here Newsroom, on television we can also see advertisements intended only for the American market and official online Samsung Store it has been working for some time as well. After all, you can also find the company's official stores in the country.

Apple is the friendliest

Previously, Apple was considered more of an exotic, when its products were seen as limiting users in some way. But now he is still setting trends and developing his idea of an interconnected technological world further, and many competitors can envy him. Of course, the aforementioned companies would need to expand, but for some reason they just don't want to, and in contrast, Apple just still seems like the best possible choice for having all electronics from one manufacturer. Neither Google nor Samsung can do that. If we add to that that we can also own Apple TV and HomePod, there are really few arguments to run away from Apple.
