It's only been a few minutes since the new iPad was introduced at today's keynote. This happened within the first segment that Apple dedicated to iPads. Before the presentation itself, several interesting guests from the ranks of teachers took turns on the stage, who shared their experiences with using iPads in practice. Tim Cook did not forget to mention that there are currently around 200 educational applications for the iPad in the App Store. But let's get back to the news presented today.

The main role is played by the 9,7″ iPad, which according to Apple is the best-selling model. The updated version, which is rebranded as the "9,7" iPad", offers:

  • display with faster response a support for Apple Pencil
  • the new 9,7″ iPad will support it applications originally intended only for iPad Pro
  • Apple has prepared completely new versions Pages, Numbers a Keynote, which support the extended features of Apple Pecil
  • Other applications from Apple will also receive updates, such as Garage Band and more
  • All software news are aimed at students – for better, easier and more efficient note-taking, presentation processing, etc.
  • As for the parameters, the new 9,7″ iPad will offer 8 MPx camera, touch IDprocessor A10 Fusion, 10 hour endurance, transmission speeds (via LTE) up to 300Mb / s and weight approx 450 grams
  • It's a tool that should "competite with Chromebooks and classic laptops without a problem"
  • Great emphasis is also placed on augmented reality, which this iPad should support in a big way – especially in relation to learning tools
  • The price is set at 329 dollars (for the 32GB Wi-Fi model) in regular sales and 299 dollars in the menu for schools
  • Pre-orders will be possible from today and the availability of iPads as such will be from next week. It will also be sold in the Czech Republic.
