Apple takes its commitment to focus on services very seriously. This is evidenced not only by the launch of the Apple News+, Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade services, but also by the latest news that the company is considering offering these services as part of discounted packages. The first of them could theoretically come as early as next year.

This news is not really unexpected news. During October, the media reported that Apple was apparently discussing the possibilities of a media service package for its customers. Under it, users could subscribe to, for example, Apple Music together with the Apple TV+ streaming service for a single discounted monthly price. Apple is certainly excited about the idea, but unfortunately not everyone shares its enthusiasm.

Speculation that Apple is considering a bundled service option began circulating on the Internet last June, along with the first reports of an upcoming streaming service. The heads of some music companies, with whom Apple has had a tumultuous relationship since the launch of the iTunes Music Store, are concerned about how high margins Apple could set within the package. There could also be problems with Apple News+. According to Bloomberg, publishers who are dissatisfied with the service can only remove their content from the service after one year.

Income from the services sector is becoming increasingly important for Apple. It is not yet clear what the future package of services might look like, whether there will be different combinations of services, or whether the package will be available in all countries of the world – in some regions, including the Czech Republic, the Apple News+ service is not available, for example. There is also speculation about a combination of all digital services from Apple together with Apple Care for the iPhone, which should work out to roughly 2 crowns per month.
