Apple TV users have noticed a brand new icon on their devices. It bears the visual form of an invitation to today's keynote and is called Apple events. After opening the offer, the option to watch today's entire Media Event live will appear. The text in the window says: “Special Apple Event - LIVE; Tune in at 10 a.m. (PT) on October 23 to watch the event live.”

It is not yet clear whether it will be possible to watch the video broadcast live on iTunes or Apple's website, but at least Apple TV users can enjoy the keynote on their TV screens. Of course, this does not change anything about our live transcript, but now you also have the option of a live video feed of the entire event. If we find out any further details, you will find them in an updated article.

The last time Apple broadcast a keynote live at a music event was in September 2010, where Steve Jobs introduced new iPods, Apple TV 2 or already today dead social network Ping.

Live video streaming will also be available on Apple.com. On this direct link you can watch the whole event. According to Apple, the minimum requirements are Safari version 4.0 or higher, or iOS 4.2 if you'll be watching the stream on an iPhone or iPad. For those who will watch the broadcast on Apple TV, they must have a second or third generation device with software version 5.0.2 and above.
