We might see a 128GB iOS device soon, at least that's what the iOS 6.1 beta code suggests. A hacker with a nickname iH8sn0w found a reference in the file key BuildManifest. plist. Compared to the previous version from iOS 6.0, a new value with the number 128 has been added. Like the other values, 8, 16, 32 and 64 indicate the possible storage size of the iOS device.

All this discovery could mean that Apple could possibly introduce some iOS devices with a new storage size of 128 GB this year. The most likely candidate would be the iPad. The question is whether Apple would add a fourth storage option or double the current three sizes. Due to the increasing demands of applications on free space, especially due to retina display graphics, the basic size of 16 GB is no longer enough even for the most modest users.
