During this evening, Apple sent out invitations to the second autumn Apple Event, during which the long-awaited MacBook Pro and AirPods 3rd generation should be revealed. The event will take place next Monday, October 18. But there is one catch that has probably occurred to anyone who is interested in apple conferences. The Cupertino giant always sends out invitations a week (seven days) in advance. But that didn't happen now, and the keynote is taking place in 6 days.

Check out the Apple Event invite and a render of the expected 16″ MacBook Pro:

Of course, this raises one question. Why did Apple decide to make such a change? The problem, however, is that no one except Apple probably knows the answer to this question. In the current situation, it is not even clear at all whether anyone will actually answer this question, or whether we should expect something similar in the future. The covid situation probably has an influence on this change, which is why the latest Apple Events are always pre-recorded and only broadcast. For this reason, Apple theoretically does not have to take the 7-day period so seriously and can shorten it by one day. Of course, this conference will also be pre-recorded and will traditionally take place in Cupertino's Apple Park, primarily in the Steve Jobs Theater.

What can we look forward to?

Of course, the long-awaited MacBook Pro will get the imaginary spotlight. This device has been talked about since the beginning of this year, but until now it was not entirely clear when Apple would actually present this product. The new "Pročka" will be available in two sizes - with a 14" and 16" display - and will offer a fundamental change in design, where, thanks to sharper edges, it will conceptually be closer to an iPad Pro or a 24" iMac. In addition, the new design will allow the Cupertino giant to incorporate some old familiar ports such as HDMI, an SD card reader or a MagSafe power connector into the device. At the same time, performance should also move forward at a rocket pace. A number of sources in this direction talk about the arrival of a new Apple Silicon chip labeled M1X, which will dramatically improve graphics performance. To make matters worse, some sources are also talking about the implementation of a Mini-LED display, while information is also emerging about the arrival of a 120Hz refresh rate. No matter how it turns out, one thing is certain. We definitely have something to look forward to.

At the same time, the 3rd generation AirPods could also be introduced. They, like the MacBook Pro, have been talked about for a long time, with some leakers even expecting their introduction in the spring. However, this was not confirmed in the final. In any case, Ming-Chi Kuo already said then that the actual production of the new AirPods will only start in the second half of this year. So it's possible that their performance is literally just around the corner.
