When Apple introduced the Apple Watch years ago, few would have predicted that it would become the huge phenomenon it is today. However, it only took a few years for Apple to turn a product that was almost mocked by the world into the sovereign king of the smartwatch world. Even this king, however, is getting old and is no longer pulling in the sales like he used to. At the same time, it would be enough for Apple to take a relatively simple step and sales would start again.

Apple Watch is popular with users for its versatility and design. The catch, however, is that they are only compatible with iPhones, while you can connect the smartwatches of the vast majority of competitors to any smartphone. We can talk about the fact that this is an intention on the part of Apple, which may even lead to an increase in sales of iPhones, but wherever the truth is, one thing is quite clear - those who are comfortable with Android must give up their taste for the Apple Watch , which is simply a shame. It would be impossible for Apple to change that. After all, he has already proven to us in the past that he is not completely afraid of a certain loosening of his ecosystem.

AirPods are a great example. These are headphones that work supremely best with Apple products thanks to their connection to iCloud and the like. However, Apple allows them - even without a number of smart functions - to be connected via Bluetooth to more or less any device with Bluetooth support and thus to use them as classic wireless headphones. In addition, their functionality on Androids is constantly trying to be adjusted so that it is as good as possible, so that AirPods make sense even to "Android users". And it wouldn't be out of place to go exactly this way.

In the eyes of many users, the Apple Watch is so good in design and so advanced in terms of functionality that it can be assumed that there would be interest in it even if it were impossible to connect it to the iPhone due to the expansion of its functions. After all, even now, questions appear from time to time on various discussion forums about whether, for example, it is possible to use LTE models without owning an iPhone at all, since they would simply be enough for people. So if Apple wants to pump up Apple Watch sales again in the coming months and years, it wouldn't be entirely surprising if it went the route of "unlocking" them for Android in addition to hardware upgrades. While it might be a bit of a risk for us as Apple users at first, as short-term hardware updates could be delayed at the expense of "unlocking" preparations, in the long run we would probably all benefit from it. Because the larger the user base of the Apple Watch, the more meaningful it would be for Apple to improve it as much as possible to make it a hit every generation.
