It didn't take long for the first durability test of the new Samsung Galaxy S10+ flagship to appear. Its rival was the iPhone XS Max, which reaped success.

YouTuber PhoneBuff released a very provocative video where he compares the endurance of two flagships. Samsung's latest model in the form of the Galaxy S10+ and Apple's flagship, the iPhone XS Max, face each other.

Apple was already looking forward to the launch of new models, how resistant glass they are equipped with. On the other hand, Samsung boasts of the latest version of Gorilla Glass 6. So the fight included the worst falls and PhoneBuff did not spare the phones.

Gorilla Glass is a well-known manufacturer of the most durable glasses not only for smartphones. When Apple presented its iPhone XS and XS Max, it said that its smartphone "has the most durable glass in the world". However, he did not say whether it includes the fifth or sixth generation of Gorilla Glass. Samsung immediately boasted and announced that it was using the latest, i.e. the sixth. In addition, Gorilla Glass 6 should be up to 2x better than its predecessor.

Galaxy S10+ versus iPhone XS Max in four rounds

In his latest video, PhoneBuff shows especially drops on hard surfaces. In total, both phones were tested in four rounds. The first was the fall on his back. Both phones had their backs cracked, but the Galaxy S10+ suffered more damage and more distinct "cobwebs".

The second test was a fall on the corner of the phone. Both phones were held the same way and dropped from the same height. Suffered light cracks and scratches. In the third round, they fell on the front and the display. Despite the Gorilla Glass, both displays eventually cracked. However, the Galaxy S10+ has more, and in addition, the fingerprint reader, which is now located in the display, has stopped working properly.

The final test was 10 consecutive falls. In the end, the Samsung Galaxy S10+ won here, as the iPhone was no longer able to recognize touches on the display after the third fall.

However, the final score sounded better for Apple. The iPhone XS Max scored 36 out of 40 points, with the Samsung close behind with 34 points. You can find the full video in English below.
