Time flies and we already have two important conferences behind us, during which Apple presented a number of interesting innovations. But the most important thing is still waiting for us – the September presentation of the iPhone 13 series, even though we already know what its iOS 15 will look like. Although we are still several months away from this event, we still roughly know what news the giant from Cupertino is going to bring out this time. Now, in addition, an interesting report from DigiTimes has revealed that Apple is more interested in one component than the entire Android mobile phone market.

VCM or key component for a number of enhancements

Several reports have already flown through the Internet that Apple plans to purchase significantly more components called VCM (Voice Coil Motor) from its suppliers. The new generation of Apple phones should see a number of improvements in the case of the camera and 3D sensors responsible for the proper functionality of Face ID. And this is exactly why the Cupertino company needs significantly more of these components. Apple allegedly contacted its Taiwanese suppliers and asked them if they could increase VCM production by 30 to 40% in order to meet demand from apple growers. In this direction, the iPhone alone should greatly surpass the entire Android market.

This is how Apple presented the improvements to the camera on the iPhone 12 Pro (Max):

What improvements are coming?

This year, Apple should bet on further improvements to the camera. The new Pro models could come with an improved f/1.8 ultra-wide lens and a six-element lens. Some leaks even say that all four expected models will receive this gadget. But one of the key innovations should be the so-called sensor-shift stabilization. This is optical image stabilization, for which a first-class sensor is responsible. It can perform up to five thousand movements per second, eliminating hand tremors. This function is currently only available in the iPhone 12 Pro Max (on the wide-angle lens), but it has been rumored for a long time that it will arrive in all iPhone 13. The Pro models could then even offer it on the ultra-wide-angle lens.

In addition, other speculations talk about the arrival of the possibility of shooting video in Portrait mode. In addition, some leaks talk about something that could especially please astronomy lovers. According to them, the iPhone 13 should be able to record the night sky perfectly, while it should automatically detect the moon, stars and a number of other space objects. If the aforementioned speculations are confirmed, there is a pretty good chance that the photo module will be slightly taller together with the individual lenses. What news would you most like to see from iPhone 13?
