Although, according to some sources, they should have been revealed last year, in the final it turned out that it was just speculation. Even so, there are still a lot of question marks hanging over this model, and it is not entirely clear what new products Apple will show this time. Therefore, let's shed some light on the possible changes and the potential change of the expected AirPods Pro 2nd generation.

Perhaps the most speculation is about the design. Some of them claim that AirPods Pro will completely get rid of their feet, which will bring them closer in appearance to, for example, the popular model Beats Studio Buds or Samsung Galaxy Buds Live. The change could therefore also come in the case of the charging case. According to sources from the Asian supply chain, the entire case will be significantly more compact, specifically reducing its width, height and thickness. However, several such reports are spreading. At the same time, we can come across reports according to which the design of the headphones themselves will not change, but the case will actually be more compact. In addition, it could also get a hole for threading a string for attachment, or an integrated speaker, which could be located near the Lightning connector.

To add to the speculation about the design, there is another one circulating among Apple fans, according to which the AirPods Pro 2 will come in two sizes - similar to, for example, the Apple Watch. But it is necessary to remember one thing. Behind this last statement is the Twitter account Mr. White, who is not exactly twice the most accurate in his predictions. In the final, it can also be completely different. The design of Apple headphones has been working for a long time, which is why it seems rather unlikely that Apple will fundamentally change it. Rather, we can count on minor modifications like with AirPods 3.

Of course, the most important for us are possible new functions. For several years, Apple fans have been debating whether the AirPods Pro headphones will receive smart functions to measure their activities, which would make the product a great fitness partner. In theory, thanks to the new sensors, they would be able to measure, for example, heart rate, steps taken, calories and speed. In combination with the Apple Watch, the apple user would subsequently obtain significantly more accurate data about his performances and activities. In this regard, however, it is not clear whether we will actually see similar changes.

More often, there is talk of improving existing possibilities. In addition to better sound, we could expect an overall improvement of the ambient noise suppression mode, as well as the permeability mode. Some sources also talk about changes in the case of the adaptive equalizer. However, a significant change could be the arrival of support for lossless audio transmission through the ALAC (Apple Lossless Audio Codec) codec. Ming-Chi Kuo, who is one of the most accurate analysts focusing on Apple, even came up with this information. There are other mentions in the conclusion itself. In this case, they say, for example, that the headphones would be able to automatically pause music playback if they detect a voice. In that case, the user would immediately know if someone is talking to them.
AirPods Pro 2: Price and availability
Lastly, in connection with the imminent arrival of the second generation of AirPods Pro, their price is also being discussed. According to the overwhelming majority of speculations, this should not change, which is why the new model will be available for 7 CZK. Although the price tag is slightly higher compared to the competition, the headphones are still selling like on a treadmill. It would therefore be illogical to intervene unnecessarily in the price. Regarding availability, the most common talk is that Apple will introduce the new AirPods Pro 290 in the last quarter of this year. In such a case, the apple companies would play into the cards of the Christmas holidays, during which there could be an increased demand for a product such as headphones.
