Tesla Motors is in some ways to the automotive world what Apple is to technology. First-class design, cars of the highest quality, and also very environmentally friendly, because Tesla brand vehicles are electric. And it is possible that these two companies will merge into one in their future. At the moment they are at least flirting with each other…

The idea of Apple making cars may seem a bit wild now, but at the same time, there is talk that creating your own car was one of Jobs' dreams. So it is not excluded that somewhere on the walls of Apple's offices some design of the car is hanging. In addition, Apple has already negotiated with representatives of Tesla Motors, the car company named after Nikola Tesla. However, according to the head of Tesla, the acquisition, which some have speculated, is ruled out for the time being.

"If a company contacted us about something like this last year, we really can't comment," Tesla CEO Elon Musk did not want to reveal anything to journalists. "We met with Apple, but I can't comment on whether it was related to an acquisition or not," added Musk.

The founder of Paypal, now CEO and chief product architect at Tesla, responded to the newspaper's speculation with his statement San Francisco Chronicle, who came up with the report that Musk met with Adrian Perica, who is in charge of acquisitions at Apple. Apple CEO Tim Cook was even supposed to attend the meeting. According to some, the two sides should have discussed a possible acquisition, but for the time being it seems much more realistic to discuss the integration of iOS devices into Tesla cars, or the agreement on the supply of batteries.

Last month, Musk announced a plan to build a giant factory for lithium-ion batteries, which Apple uses in many of its products. In addition, Tesla is going to work with some other companies on production, and there is talk that Apple could be one of them.

However, the activities of Apple and Tesla should not become more intertwined for the time being, according to Musk, an acquisition is not on the agenda. "It would make sense to talk about things like this if we saw that it was possible to create a more affordable car for the mass market, but I don't see that possibility right now, so that's unlikely," Musk said.

However, should Apple really decide to enter the automotive industry one day, Elon Musk would probably be the first to congratulate the Californian company. When asked what he would say to such a move by Apple, namely in an interview for Bloomberg he replied, "I'd probably tell them I think it's a great idea."
