Dan Pražák The new Apple Watch Series 5 represents only a minimal upgrade over last year's model. One of the two main innovations – along with the always-on display – is a special edition made of titanium. And it is precisely for new owners of titanium and other more expensive Apple Watch Series 5 models that a surprise awaits after unpacking the watch. Apple bundles one more strap with the more expensive editions.
However, the richer contents of the package only apply to the Apple Watch Edition (titanium and ceramic models) and the Apple Watch Hermès, i.e. editions that are not available on our market. Apple continues to bundle only one strap with the aluminum and stainless steel Apple Watch.

Petr Škuta In addition to the standard, selected strap, the packaging of all more expensive models also includes a sports strap, the color of which varies based on the color variant of the watch chassis. The classic titanium Apple Watch comes with a light gray strap, Apple adds a dark gray strap to the Space Black titanium model, and the ceramic Apple Watch also has a white strap with a ceramic clasp.
In the case of the Hermès edition, the customer will receive either an orange or a black Hermès sports strap – the color varies depending on whether the watch is intended for men (black) or women (orange).

The benefit of a second strap is certainly welcome. With a degree of exaggeration, however, one could say that the customer will pay for it. The titanium Apple Watch starts at $799 (approximately 19 crowns), the ceramic Apple Watch at $1299 (approximately 31 crowns), and the cheapest watch from the Hermès edition costs $1249. Apple sells the classic sports strap here for 1 CZK.
The new Apple Watch Series 5 will go on sale next Friday, September 20. The watch can be pre-ordered since yesterday evening and is available also at Czech authorized dealers.
