Last week, Apple released a new version of the iOS operating system along with a new watchOS. In both of these systems, one of the biggest innovations is the addition of a wallpaper and watch face in support of the LGBTQ community. Last week was the International event of the fight against homophobia and transphobia. At the same time, paradoxically - at least according to social networks and discussion forums - Apple annoyed many apple users with new watch faces and wallpapers and thus prompted criticism of the supported communities. At the same time, so little would be enough and the criticism would be far less.

Apple has supported the LGBTQ community for a long time, and we believe that this activity is definitely worthy, because even in today's world, unfortunately, this community does not have equal rights and advocacy. Unfortunately, the way Apple expresses its support is really strange, and it's not too surprising that Apple fans are annoyed by this style. This is because LGBTQ support takes precedence over everything else Apple supports throughout the year, which is the main stumbling block. If Apple supported Earth Day, Mother's Day and other x events in this way, by releasing a nice wallpaper, a watch face and maybe even a strap for them, people would suddenly perceive the whole matter differently. LGBTQ support would immediately be "one of the many supports" on Apple's part, for which it deserves praise. However, he would deserve the same praise for supporting other, no less important things, for which ecology can certainly be called at least.

As I mentioned above, we have absolutely nothing bad to say against the LGBTQ community and its support by Apple, as it is a worthy activity. However, the support is expressed so clumsily that it may end up doing more harm than good to this community. After all, already in the comments there are often opinions revolving around the fact that, according to Apple, the LGBTQ community is superior to the classic hetero and that its privileges stem from this. Although these words may seem like nonsense, quite frankly we are not entirely surprised by the commenters with a similar opinion, because Apple gives so much space to the LGBTQ community that people who do not belong to it can actually feel somewhat disadvantaged. It's therefore a question of how much longer Apple can keep going in this direction until support turns against it and the LGBTQ community itself says it's over the line.
