The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued ranking The 30 U.S. tech and phone companies that make the most use of renewable energy sources. Apple ranked fourth.

According to the EPA report, Apple annually consumes 537,4 million kWh of green energy, only Intel, Microsoft and Google use more energy from renewable sources. Intel even more than 3 billion kWh, Microsoft less than two billion and Google over 700 million.

However, Apple has by far the most widespread column with the number of sources from the entire ranking, taking green energy from a total of eleven suppliers. Other companies take at most from five at a time.

There is also an interesting statistic in the study about the share of green energy in total energy consumption. Apple takes 85% of its total consumption from renewable sources, namely biogas, biomass, geothermal, solar, hydro or wind energy.

It should be noted, however, that Apple fell one place compared to the last three editions of this ranking (April, July and November last year). Google returned to the ranking and immediately occupied the third place.
