Towards the end of last week, images of the new iPhone 8 began appearing on the web, with a battery that had swollen to the point that it pushed the phone's display out of its frame. Information about two cases has reached the Internet, namely the iPhone 8 Plus. Immediately there was a wave of articles about how the new iPhone is marked by a manufacturing defect and that this is another "gate" affair.

In both cases, this incident happened while the iPhone 8 Plus was connected to the original charger. In the first case, the battery swelled just three minutes after the iPhone was connected to the charger by its owner. At that time the phone was five days old. In the second case, the phone had already arrived to its owner from Japan in this condition. He shared the status of his device on Twitter.

In both cases, the phones damaged in this way were returned to the operators, who in turn sent them directly to Apple, which can then assess the situation. According to available information, this is happening and Apple is solving the problem. Most likely, it was an error in the production of the battery, thanks to which the substances that caused this reaction got inside.

Although some media have tried to inflate this problem, it is not really a problem. If this problem appeared on two devices, everything is perfectly fine considering how many tens of thousands of iPhones Apple produces per day. The same problems appeared in basically all previous models, and as long as it is not a massive expansion (as in the case of last year's Galaxy Note) associated with a manufacturing defect, it is not a major problem. Apple will certainly replace the device for affected users.
