Jan Zdarsa I am some time ago introduced the Mobile of the Year 2008 vote on iDnes.cz and since then I have not followed this survey. But it was even more of a surprise when I found out (yes, really only now) that iPhone 3G won this poll and became mobile phone of 2008! The Apple iPhone 3G was chosen by the public among 19 other phones, and Apple thus beat such giants as Nokia, Samsung and HTC. To my surprise, HTC didn't win any of the awards.

It can be seen that The iPhone has gained popularity among the general public, because many people certainly did not expect such a result. On the contrary, I expected an HTC phone to be placed at the highest, based on the way their owners are constantly scrolling through discussions about the iPhone and reporting on the features packed with HTC phones that the iPhone doesn't even reach their ankles (and that's why it probably didn't even win a prize in the expert jury vote). . But written functions on paper are simply not everything, and it's mainly about how it all fits together. And the iPhone certainly won its fans because of how great it is to work with and how perfect community around him helps his development with his original applications and games.
