Apple circles have been discussing the arrival of the expected AR/VR headset for many months. Recently, there has been more and more talk about this product, and according to current speculations and leaks, its launch should be literally around the corner. It is therefore not surprising that fans are anxiously waiting to see what Apple will actually show up with. On the contrary, many users leave all these leaks completely cold. This brings us to one of the biggest challenges Apple has faced in recent years.

Interest in AR/VR is not what could have been expected years ago. More or less, this is the domain of video game players in particular, for whom virtual reality helps them experience their favorite titles on a completely different scale. Outside of gaming, AR/VR capabilities continue to be used in various industries, but in general, it is nothing revolutionary for ordinary users. In general, therefore, the idea is starting to spread that the expected AR/VR headset from Apple is the last salvation for the entire segment. But will the apple representative be successful at all? For now, speculations about him do not attract many fans.

Interest in AR/VR is low

As we already mentioned in the very introduction, interest in AR/VR is practically negligible. Simply put, it can be said that ordinary users are simply not that interested in these options and thus remain the privilege of the players just mentioned. The state of current AR games is also somewhat indicative of this. When the now-legendary Pokemon GO was launched, literally millions of people immediately jumped into the game and enjoyed the possibilities of the AR world. But the enthusiasm cooled rather quickly. Although other companies have tried to follow this trend with the introduction of their own video game titles, no one has ever had such success, quite the opposite. AR games with the theme of the world of Harry Potter or The Witcher even had to be canceled outright. There was simply no interest in them. It is therefore not surprising that the same concerns exist for the entire segment of AR/VR headsets.

Apple as the last salvation

There was even talk that Apple could come as a possible last salvation for this entire market. However, in such a case, we should be extremely careful. If the leaks and speculations are true, then the Cupertino company is about to come up with a real high-end product, which will offer unrivaled options and specifications, but all this will of course be reflected in the resulting price. Apparently, it should be around 3000 dollars, which translates to almost 64 crowns. Moreover, this is the so-called "American" price. In our case, we still have to add to it the costs necessary for transportation, tax and all other fees resulting from the import of goods.

Well-known leaker Evan Blass brings some hope. According to his sources, Apple has made a fundamental shift in product development, thanks to which the capabilities of today's devices are literally breathtaking. But that still doesn't change the fact that the astronomical price can simply put off many people. At the same time, it would be naive to think that the current lack of interest on the part of users could change the product, which will be several times higher in price than, for example, the iPhone.
