About a year ago, Apple came up with a brand new Fitness+ service, which complements other services from Apple in the form of Music, Arcade or TV+. As the name suggests, Fitness+ is a service that has only one task - to keep you fit and in shape. As part of Fitness+, it is possible to participate in various exercise programs, which is very useful in today's modern times, when a healthy lifestyle is unfortunately not considered as much in certain cases. But for the Czech Republic and countless other countries, the problem is that Fitness+ is so far only available in the United States, Canada, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

In any case, Apple has promised that we will soon see the expansion of Fitness+ to many other countries. But as you surely know, the term "soon" often means not too long ago and is not specific at all. The good news, however, is that Apple finally revealed the exact date of that planned expansion yesterday - it's set for November 3rd. But if you are now looking forward to the fact that you will be able to enjoy Fitness+ in the Czech Republic, then unfortunately I have to disappoint you. This service will be extended to Austria, Brazil, Colombia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates. The Czech Republic is therefore missing from the list, but there is still a small glimmer of hope that we could start using Fitness+ in our country. Germany, our neighbor, is essential in the list of new countries.

Several apple products and services were not or still are not officially available in the Czech Republic. In the case of products, we can mention, for example, the HomePod mini, which is imported to us from abroad. As for services, you surely remember the absence of Apple Pay for several years, but luckily we finally got it. The same was the case with the ECG on the Apple Watch, for which we once again had to wait in the Czech Republic. However, it is necessary to mention that even though these services and functions were not available in the Czech Republic, we were able to start using them - although it was a bit of a painstaking process, but it was possible. In the case of Apple Pay, it was necessary to get a foreign card and make further adjustments to the settings, while for the ECG from the Apple Watch, all you had to do was cross the German border and simply activate this health function. After successful activation, all you had to do was return to the Czech Republic, where the EKG continued to function.

So it is very likely that Fitness+ will be very similar to the features and services mentioned above. A lot of different detours were found each time, so if you are very thirsty for Fitness+, you will almost certainly be able to use it in the Czech Republic as well. It probably won't be as "simple" as the ECG in the Apple Watch, but on the other hand, it won't be as complicated as, for example, Apple Pay. In theory, for the whole process you will need a VPN that will transfer you to Germany or another country where Fitness+ will be available, together with an App Store account, which will again be maintained in the country where the mentioned service is available. If you meet these two conditions, you should see the Fitness tab in the Fitness app on your iPhone, where the Fitness+ service should already be visible. If it doesn't, you may still need to change the iOS region to Germany.

Unfortunately, we do not yet know the exact procedure for launching Fitness+ in the Czech Republic. However, immediately on November 3, when Fitness+ expands to our neighbors, we will dive into the search for the easiest solution for accessibility. If the procedure is simple enough to make it worthwhile to use Fitness+, we will of course bring it to you immediately in a separate article. In any case, Fitness+ is a paid service, which currently costs $9.99 per month in the United States, which is roughly 249 crowns. Keep in mind that if you want to use Fitness+, you will of course have to subscribe to this service in the classic way.
