Apple started organizing the Apple Festival in 2007, regularly always in London. In 2015, with the arrival of Apple Music, the festival changed its name to the Apple Music Festival, but unfortunately the audience will no longer be able to enjoy it this year. The free festival, which in recent years has been watched by millions of people via Apple Music and thousands directly at the Roundhouse in London, is coming to an end. Apple made the official announcement to Music Business Worldwide magazine, saying it would not comment on further details.

Over the years, names such as Elton John, Coldplay, Justin Timberlake, Ozzy Osbourne, Florence + The Machine, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Amy Winehouse, John Legend, Snow Patrol, David Guetta, Paul Simon, Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding have taken turns on the stage , Jack Johnson, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Linkin Park, Arctic Monkeys, Paramore, Alicia Keys, Adele, Bruno Mars, Kings of Leon and Ed Sheeran and many more.

The festival was originally created at a time when there were no services like Apple Music or Spotify as marketing support for the iTunes Store. In this way, Apple advertised itself and at the same time showed people the work of artists, which listeners could then purchase through the iTunes Store. More recently, the company has begun to focus more on sponsoring individual events, such as Drake's summer tour last year, or exhibitions and other events. Apple is also increasingly connected to fashion thanks to its top manager Angela Ahrendts and tries to support events such as Fashion Week. So it's likely that Apple wants to allocate money to individual exhibitions, concerts and festivals as part of its marketing rather than organizing its own.

The festival was also attended annually by the leaders led by Apple, and Jony Ive himself participated in the form of the visualizations. In the case of Apple, of course, the problem will not be in money, but rather in the fact that Apple's management does not have enough time for this event. We'll see if Apple mentions the end of the Apple Festival or the Apple Music Festival during the introduction of the new iPhones next week.
