Today brought with it very interesting information regarding apple phones. In the first report, we will look at Apple's problems in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo, where it is facing a lawsuit that could cost it up to $2 million, and in the second, we will shed light on the date of the introduction of the iPhone 13 series.

Apple faces lawsuit over lack of chargers in iPhone 12 packaging

Last year, the Cupertino company decided on a rather fundamental step, when it no longer includes a power adapter in the packaging of iPhones. This step is justified by a lower burden on the environment and a significant reduction of the carbon footprint. In addition, the truth is that many users already have an adapter at home - unfortunately, but not with fast charging support. This whole situation was already responded to last December by the Brazilian Office for Consumer Protection, which informed Apple about the violation of consumer rights.

What the box of the new iPhones looks like without the adapter and headphones:

Cupertino responded to the announcement by saying that almost every customer already has an adapter and it is not necessary for another one to be in the package itself. This resulted in the filing of a lawsuit in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo for infringement of the mentioned rights, due to which Apple could pay a fine of up to 2 million dollars. Fernando Capez, executive director of the relevant authority, also commented on the whole situation, according to which Apple must understand the laws there and start respecting them. The Californian giant continues to face fines for misleading information about the water resistance of iPhones. It is therefore unacceptable for a phone under warranty that is damaged due to contact with water not to be repaired by Apple.

iPhone 13 should come classically in September

We are currently in a global pandemic that has lasted more than a year and has affected many industries. Of course, Apple did not avoid it either, which had to postpone the September presentation of new iPhones due to supply chain deficiencies, which, by the way, has been a tradition since the iPhone 4S in 2011. Last year was the first year since the mentioned "four" that there was no unveiling during the month of September not even a single apple phone. The presentation itself didn't come until October, and even the mini and Max models we had to wait until November. Unfortunately, this experience has people worried that the same scenario will play out this year.

The relatively well-known analyst Daniel Ives from the investment company Wedbush commented on the whole situation, according to which we should not be afraid of anything (for now). Apple is planning to restore this tradition and probably serve us the latest pieces during the third week of September. Ives is taking this information directly from his sources within the supply chain, though he points out that unspecified improvements could mean we could wait until October for some models. And what is actually expected from the new series? The iPhone 13 could boast a display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a smaller notch and improved cameras. There is even talk of a version with 1TB of internal storage.
