iPhone 12 will soon start production in India as well

It has been rumored for some time that Apple is toying with the idea of moving production from China to other countries. This is also confirmed by some steps, for example expansion into Vietnam or Taiwan. Information about a smaller move to India, where Apple is going to target the local market, also began to appear earlier. Indeed, the Californian giant was able to raise its market share there from 2020% to 2% in the last quarter of 4, when it sold more than 1,5 million iPhones, recording a 100% year-on-year increase. According to various data, Apple managed to double the mentioned market share thanks to the favorable offers on the iPhone 11, XR, 12 and SE (2020). Overall, over 2020 million iPhones were sold in India in 3,2, a 2019% year-on-year increase compared to 60.

iPhone-12-Made-in-India

Of course, Apple is fully aware of this and is about to follow up on this success with another important step. In addition, he was able to gain support in the local market by launching the Indian Online Store and a discount offer from the official Diwali reseller, who bundled AirPods with every iPhone 11 for free in October. That is precisely why Apple will soon start production of the iPhone 12 flagships directly on Indian soil, while these phones with embossing Made in India will be exclusively intended for the local market only.

iPhone 12:

Historically, the Cupertino company has not exactly done well twice in the world's second largest smartphone market. This was primarily due to the general premium nature of Apple products, which simply outsold significantly cheaper alternatives from manufacturers such as Xiaomi, Oppo, or Vivo. Apple's supplier Wistron, which takes care of assembling iPhones, has already started trial operation of a new factory for the production of iPhone 12. It is thus another successful step of moving production from China. Moreover, it is not just Apple - in general, technology giants are now trying to shift production to other Asian countries due to the trade war between the US and China. Would you be happy if said production were completely moved from the most populous country in the world, or do you not care about this?

A popular call recording app contained a huge security flaw

There are a number of different applications in the App Store that are used to record incoming and outgoing calls. One of the most popular is i Automatic call recorder, which has now unfortunately been found to contain a massive security flaw. This was pointed out by security analyst and founder of PingSafe AI Anand Prakash, who discovered that using this flaw it is possible to access the recorded conversations of each user. How did it all work?

Automatic call recorder

To access other people's recordings, all you had to do was know the phone number of the given user. Prakash made do with the easy-to-access proxy tool Burp Suite, with which he was able to monitor and modify network traffic in both directions. Thanks to this, he was able to replace his own number with another user's number, which suddenly gave him access to their conversations. Fortunately, the developer of this app released a security update on March 6, which brought with it a fix for this serious bug. But before the fix, virtually anyone could gain access to more than 130 recordings. In addition, the program itself boasts more than a million downloads in the App Store and the easiest operation. The developer refused to comment on the whole situation.
