Shazam received great widgets

In 2018, Apple bought Shazam, the company responsible for practically the most popular music recognition app. Since then, we have seen a number of great improvements, with the Cupertino giant also integrating the service into its Siri voice assistant. Today we saw the release of another update, which brings with it great widgets for easier work with the application.

The mentioned widgets came specifically in three variants. The smallest size will show you the last song discovered, the larger, wide version then shows the last three songs discovered, with the very last one more prominently displayed, and the largest square option shows the last four songs discovered in a similar layout to the elongated widget. All elements are then proud of the Shazam button in the upper right corner, which when tapped, the application automatically starts recording sounds from the surroundings to recognize the music being played.

Next year, Apple will introduce its own VR headset with an astronomical price tag

Recently, there is more and more talk about AR/VR glasses from Apple. Today, hot information appeared on the Internet regarding the VR headset in particular, which stems from the analysis of the renowned company JP Morgan. According to various reports, in terms of design, the product should not differ significantly from the existing pieces that we will find on the market some Friday. It should then be equipped with six advanced lenses and an optical LiDAR sensor, which will take care of mapping the user's surroundings. The production of most of the components needed for that headset will start already in the fourth quarter of this year. At the same time, JP Morgan also revealed companies from the supply chain, interested in the production of the product.

The giant TSMC should take care of the production of the relevant chips, the lenses will be provided by Largan and Genius Electronic Optical, and the subsequent assembly will be the task of Pegatron. The entire supply chain for this product is overwhelmingly located in Taiwan. It will be worse with the price tag. Several sources predict that Apple is going to come up with a high-end version of VR headsets in general, which will of course affect the price. The material costs for the production of one piece alone should exceed $500 (almost 11 crowns). For comparison, we can state that the production costs of the iPhone 12 according to GSMArena it is 373 dollars (8 thousand crowns), but it is available from less than 25 thousand crowns.

Apple-VR-Feature MacRumors

In addition, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg came up with a similar claim some time ago. He claimed that the VR headset from Apple will be significantly more expensive than its competitors, and in terms of price, we will be able to put the product in an imaginary group together with the Mac Pro. The headset should be introduced in the first quarter of next year.

Ted Lasso was nominated for a Golden Globe

Two years ago, the Cupertino company showed us a brand new platform called  TV+. As you all know, this is a streaming service with original video content. Although Apple lags behind the competition in terms of numbers and popularity, its titles do not. Quite regularly on the Internet we can read about various nominations, among which the very popular comedy series Ted Lasso, whose main role was perfectly played by Jason Sudeikis, is now added.

The series revolves around the setting of English football, where Sudeikis plays a man named Ted Lasso who holds the position of coach. And this despite the fact that he knows absolutely nothing about European football, because in the past he only worked as an American football coach. Currently, this title was nominated for a Golden Globe in the category Best TV Series – Musical/Comedy.
