Here we focus exclusively on the main events and selected (interesting) speculations. Anker has introduced a magnetic wireless power bank for the iPhone 12

We recently informed you through an article about the development of a certain battery pack that Apple is working on for the latest generation of apple phones. Allegedly, it should be a similar alternative to the well-known Smart Battery Case. But the difference is that this product would be completely wireless and magnetically attached to the iPhone 12, in both cases via the new MagSafe. However, there have been reports that Apple has certain complications during development, which will either postpone the introduction of the battery pack or cause the project to be completely canceled. However, Anker, a very popular accessory manufacturer, probably did not encounter problems and today presented its own wireless power bank, the PowerCore Magnetic 5K Wireless Power Bank.

We were first able to see this product during the CES 2021. The product can be magnetically attached to the back of the iPhone 12 via MagSafe and thus provide them with 5W wireless charging. The capacity is then a respectable 5 mAh, thanks to which, according to the manufacturer's data, it can charge the iPhone 12 mini from 0 to 100%, the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro from 0 to approximately 95%, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max from 0 to 75%. The battery pack is then recharged via USB-C. As we already mentioned, the product is compatible with MagSafe technology. But the problem is that it is not an official accessory, so the full potential cannot be used and we have to settle for 15 W instead of 5 W.

The MacBook Pro will see the return of the HDMI port and the SD card reader

Last month, you could see important predictions for the upcoming 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pros. We should expect them in the second half of this year. Renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated in January that these models are waiting for quite significant changes, among which we can include the return of the iconic MagSafe power port, the removal of the Touch Bar, the redesign of the design in a more angular form and the return of some ports for better connectivity. Immediately, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg responded to this, confirming this information and adding that the new Macs will see the return of the SD card reader.

MacBook Pro 2021 with SD card reader concept

This information has now been confirmed again by Ming-Chi Kuo, according to whom we are expecting the introduction of MacBook Pros in the second half of 2021, which will be equipped with an HDMI port and the aforementioned SD card reader. Undoubtedly, this is great information that will be appreciated by a wide group of apple growers. Would you welcome the return of these two gadgets?

More information about the production of Mini-LED displays for the upcoming iPad Pro

For almost a year now, there have been rumors about the arrival of a new iPad Pro with an improved Mini-LED display, which would make a significant improvement. But for now, we only know that the technology will first arrive in 12,9″ models. But it is not clear when we will actually see the introduction of an apple tablet that could boast of this display. Initial information pointed to the fourth quarter of 2020.

iPad Pro jab FB

In any case, the current coronavirus crisis has slowed down a number of sectors, which unfortunately also has a negative impact on the development of new products. That is exactly why the presentation of last year's iPhone 12 was also postponed. In the case of the iPad Pro with Mini-LED, there was still talk of the first or second quarter of 2021, over which question marks are now beginning to hang. The latest information from DigiTimes, which comes directly from the supply chain, informs about the start of production of the mentioned displays. Their production should be sponsored by Ennostar and should start at the end of the first quarter, or in the second quarter of this year.
