A new report points to the fading color of the iPhone 12

Apple's iPhone 12 and 12 mini boast a frame made of aircraft-grade aluminum, while in the case of the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max models, Apple opted for steel. Today, a very interesting message appeared on the Internet, which concerns exactly this frame of the iPhone 12, where it specifically points out the gradual loss of color. The portal shared this story The world of Apple, who described their experience with the aforementioned PRODUCT(RED) phone. In addition, they bought it only in November last year for the editorial needs, while the whole time it was in a transparent silicone cover and it was never exposed to any toxic substances that could cause color loss.

However, over the last four months, they have encountered significant discoloration of the edge of the aluminum frame, specifically in the corner where the photo module is located, while everywhere else the color is intact. Interestingly, this problem is by no means unique and has already appeared in the past in the case of the iPhone 11 and iPhone SE of the second generation, which are also equipped with an aluminum frame and sometimes experience color loss. It doesn't even have to be the aforementioned PRODUCT(RED) design. In any case, the strange thing about this specific case is that the problem appeared in such a short time.

A new ad promotes the durability and water resistance of the iPhone 12

Already during the presentation of the iPhone 12, Apple boasted about a great new product in the form of the so-called Ceramic Shield. Specifically, it is a significantly more durable front ceramic glass made of nano-crystals. The whole ad is called Cook and we can see a man in the kitchen giving the iPhone a hard time. He sprinkles it with flour, pours liquids over it, and it falls down several times. In the end, anyway, he takes the undamaged phone and washes it of dirt under running water. The entire spot is primarily designed to graduate from the just mentioned Ceramic Shield in combination with water resistance. Last year's Apple phones are proud of IP68 certification and can therefore withstand a depth of up to six meters for thirty minutes.
