In this regular column, every day we look at the most interesting news that revolves around the California company Apple. Here we focus exclusively on the main events and selected (interesting) speculations. So if you are interested in current events and want to be informed about the apple world, definitely spend a few minutes on the following paragraphs.

iPhone 13 will bring a lot of good news

This fall, we should see the introduction of a new generation of Apple phones with the designation iPhone 13. Although we are still several months away from the release, countless leaks, potential improvements and analyzes are already spreading on the Internet. Renowned and highly respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has recently made himself heard, revealing a considerable amount of information about Apple. According to him, we should expect four models following the example of the iPhone 12. They should subsequently boast a smaller cutout, which is still the target of criticism, a larger battery, a Lightning connector and a Qualcomm Snapdragon X60 chip for an even better 5G experience.

Another great novelty should be optical image stabilization, which so far only the iPhone 12 Pro Max is proud of. It is a practical sensor that can detect even the slightest hand movement and compensate for it. Specifically, it can make up to 5 movements per second. All four models should receive the same improvement this year. The Pro models should then finally bring improvements in the field of display. Thanks to the adaptation of the energy-saving LTPO technology, the screens of the more advanced iPhone 13 will offer the requested 120Hz refresh rate. The aforementioned larger battery will then be ensured thanks to the internal modifications of the phones. Specifically, we are talking about integrating the SIM card slot directly with the motherboard and reducing the thickness of some Face ID components.

We will not see the next generation iPhone SE this year

Last year we saw the introduction of the second generation of the acclaimed iPhone SE, which in the body of the iPhone 8 brought the performance of the 11 Pro model at a very decent price. Even before the end of last year, information about the arrival of a successor, i.e. the third generation, whose arrival was dated to the first half of 2021, began to spread throughout the apple world. iPhone SE Plus with a full-screen display and Touch ID in the power button, similar to last year's iPad Air.

However, none of the scenarios described above fit the assumptions of analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. According to him, we will have to wait a little longer for the new iPhone SE, because we will not see its introduction until the first half of 2022. At the same time, we should not have too high expectations. For the most part, the changes will be either completely minimal or none at all (including the design). Apple is reportedly going to bet on 5G support and a newer chip.

An iPhone without a top notch? In 2022, maybe yes

We will conclude today's summary with Kuo's last prediction, which is now dealing with apple phones in 2022. We are specifically talking about the mentioned, and rather strongly criticized, upper cutout, the so-called notch. Kuo said that Apple should completely remove the cutout, following the example of Samsung's flagships, and bet on a simple "shotgun." These innovations should arrive at least on the Pro models. Unfortunately, it is not mentioned how the Face ID system will continue to work without the cutout in which all the necessary sensors are hidden.

In this regard, the Cupertino company has already been talked about several times regarding the integration of the Touch ID system under the displays of future Apple phones. But there is still hope for Face ID. The Chinese manufacturer ZTE managed to place the technology for 3D face scanning under the display of phones, and it is therefore potentially possible that Apple itself will follow the same path. In conclusion, Kuo added that iPhones in 2022 will offer automatic focus on the front camera as well. What are your thoughts on these changes? Would you trade the cutout for the aforementioned shot?
