Today we got a bunch of great news from one of the most respected analysts ever. We are, of course, talking about a person named Ming-Chi Kuo, who shared his latest analysis regarding iPads and their implementation of OLED panels or Mini-LED technology. In the same way, we had the revelation of the date when we can roughly count on the introduction of the MacBook Air, whose display will be equipped with the mentioned Mini-LED technology.

The iPad Air will get an OLED panel, but the Mini-LED technology will remain with the Pro model

If you are among the regular readers of our magazine, then you certainly did not miss the mention of the upcoming iPad Pro, which should boast a display with Mini-LED technology. According to the latest information, it should be only models with a 12,9″ screen. At the same time, there was already talk about the implementation of OLED panels. So far, Apple only uses these in iPhones and Apple Watch, while Macs and iPads still rely on older LCDs. Today we received new information from a world-renowned analyst named Ming-Chi Kuo, who outlined how the mentioned displays will actually be in the case of Apple tablets.

View the concept iPad mini Pro:

According to his information, in the case of the iPad Air, Apple is going to switch to an OLED solution next year, while the acclaimed Mini-LED technology should remain exclusively on the premium iPad Pro. In addition, Apple is expected to introduce the iPad Pro in the coming weeks, which will be the first in the family of Apple devices to boast a Mini-LED display. Why we haven't seen OLED panels so far is quite simple - it is a significantly more expensive variant compared to the classic LCD. However, this should be a little different in the case of the Air tablet. The Cupertino company will not need to put a display with such high finesse as, for example, the iPhone in these products, which will make the difference in price between the upcoming OLED panel and the existing LCD almost negligible.

MacBook Air with Mini-LED will be introduced next year

In connection with Mini-LED technology, Apple laptops are also quite often discussed. According to several sources, this year we should see the arrival of the 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pro, which will undergo a certain design change and offer that Mini-LED display. In today's report, Kuo elaborated on the future of the MacBook Air. According to his information, even this cheapest model will see the arrival of the same technology, but will have to wait a little longer for it. Such a product dates back to the second half of this year.

Another question is the price. People have expressed doubts whether the implementation of the Mini-LED display in the case of the cheap MacBook Air will not increase its price. In this case, we should benefit from switching to Apple Silicon. Apple chips are not only more powerful and less energy-demanding, but also significantly cheaper, which should perfectly compensate for this possible novelty. How do you view the whole situation? Would you welcome an increase in quality in the case of MacBook displays, or are you satisfied with the current LCD?
