Today brought interesting news that will please Apple Watch fans in particular. It is this product that should see great improvements in the coming years, thanks to which it will cope with the monitoring of other health data, including the level of alcohol in the blood. At the same time, new information appeared about the iPhone 13 Pro and its 120Hz display.

Apple Watch will learn to measure not only blood pressure and blood sugar, but also blood alcohol level

The Apple Watch has come a long way since its introduction. In addition, the Cupertino giant has been paying more and more attention to the health of apple growers in recent years, which is clearly demonstrated by the news that has just entered our favorite "watches". The product can now cope not only with simple heart rate measurement, but also offers an ECG sensor, measures sleep, can detect a fall, irregular heart rhythm and the like. And as it seems, Apple is definitely not going to stop there. According to the latest information, the watch could receive a huge improvement, when it specifically learns to recognize pressure, blood sugar and blood alcohol level. All in a non-invasive way, of course.

Apple Watch heart rate measurement

After all, this is proven by the newly discovered information of the portal The Telegraph. Apple has been revealed as the largest customer of the British electronic start-up Rockley Photonics, which is intensively dedicated to the development of non-invasive optical sensors for measuring various health data. This group of data should also include the just mentioned pressure, blood sugar and blood alcohol level. In addition, it is common for them to be detected using invasive forms of measurement. Anyway, the sensors from Rockley Photonics use a beam of infrared light, just like previous sensors.

The start-up is also preparing to launch in New York, which is why this information surfaced. According to the published documents, the majority of the company's income over the past two years has come from cooperation with Apple, which should not change so quickly. It is therefore possible that the Apple Watch will soon be equipped with functions that we would not even have thought of over 5 years ago. How would you welcome such sensors?

Samsung will be the exclusive supplier of 120Hz displays for the iPhone 13 Pro

Some Apple users have been calling for an iPhone with a display that finally offers a higher refresh rate for a long time. There was already quite a lot of talk last year that the iPhone 12 Pro would boast a 120Hz LTPO display, which unfortunately did not happen in the end. Hope dies last anyway. This year's leaks are significantly more intense, and several sources agree on one thing - this year's Pro models will finally see this improvement.

In addition, the website has recently brought new information The Elec, according to which Samsung will be the exclusive supplier of these 120Hz LTPO OLED panels. A lot of people question the battery life anyway. The refresh rate is a figure that indicates how many images the display can render in one second. And the more they are rendered, the more it drains the battery. The salvation should be the LTPO technology, which should be more economical and thus solve this problem.
