When the new tax reform was approved in the US, in addition to the huge hype surrounding it, it was expected how the big American companies would react to it. Especially Apple, which is the largest tax payer in the US. Last night, Apple issued an official press release stating that starting this year, they are starting a period of huge investment, which the just mentioned tax reform allows them to do. According to the statement, Apple intends to invest more than 350 billion dollars in the US economy in the next five years.

These investments touch several different sectors. By 2023, Apple expects to create 20 new jobs. In addition, the company expects to massively expand their activity in the US, invest large sums of money in cooperation with American suppliers and prepare young people for the future in the technology industry (especially with regard to application and software development).

This year alone, Apple is expected to spend roughly $55 billion doing business with domestic manufacturers and suppliers. The company is also increasing the size of the fund to support domestic manufacturers, which will operate with finances of around five billion dollars. Currently, Apple works with more than 9 American suppliers.

Apple also intends to take advantage of preferential rates to bring its "deferred" capital outside the US. This amounts to around $245 billion, of which Apple will pay roughly $38 billion in taxes. This amount should be the largest tax levy in the history of the American economy. This was one of the main goals of the new tax reform of the current American administration. The latter promised from her just such a return of funds located outside the US economy. For large corporations, the reduced tax rate of 15,5% is attractive. We didn't have to wait too long for President Trump's response.

The report also says that the company is planning to build an entirely new campus, the size, shape and location of which will be finalized sometime this year. This new campus is primarily intended to serve as a facility for technical support. The report also mentions that all American branches of Apple, whether they are office buildings or stores, use only renewable energy sources for their operation.
