During this year, Apple introduced us to the brand new 24″ iMac, which is powered by the M1 chip. This model replaced the 21,5″ iMac with an Intel processor and noticeably raised performance to a whole new level. Shortly after the unveiling itself, talk also began about whether the larger, 27″ iMac will also see similar changes, or when we will see this news. Currently, Mark Gurman from the Bloomberg portal shared his thoughts, according to which this interesting piece is so-called on the way.

Gurman shared this information in the Power On newsletter. At the same time, he points out an interesting fact. If Apple increased the size of the basic, smaller model, then there is a pretty good chance that a similar scenario will take place in the case of the mentioned larger piece. There are also questions on the Internet about the chip used. It seems unlikely that the giant from Cupertino would bet on the M1 for this model as well, which beats for example in the 24″ iMac. Instead, the use of M1X or M2 seems more likely.

iMac 27" and up

The current 27″ iMac hit the market in August 2020, which in itself suggests that we could expect a successor relatively soon. The expected model could then offer changes along the lines of the 24″ iMac and therefore generally slim down the body, bring better quality studio microphones and a significantly larger portion of performance thanks to the use of an Apple Silicon chip instead of an Intel processor. In any case, the passage about the overall enlargement of the device is particularly interesting. It would definitely be interesting if Apple brought, for example, a 30″ apple computer. This would definitely please photographers and creators, for example, for whom a larger workspace is absolutely key.
