Thought wired headphones had it figured out? Bridge error. Even though we are here in the "wireless" era, it doesn't mean that we will get rid of all cables for good. After all, Apple still sells wired headphones in its Apple Online Store, and is also preparing a new version. However, we would appreciate a slightly different one than the one he plans.

The days of adding headphones to iPhone packaging are long gone (as is the case with the charger). Apple generally tries to promote its AirPods, i.e. primarily wireless TWS headphones (except for the AirPods Pro) that embody the future. They've practically started a new segment that's really thriving because they're entertaining users. But then there is the second group of people who do not allow a cable for many reasons - because of the price, the quality of reproduction and the need to charge Bluetooth headphones.

EarPods with USB-C

If we look at the Apple Online Store and do not count the production of Beats, Apple still has three wired headphones. These are EarPods, which he used to add to the iPhone package for free, in a version with Lightning and a 3,5 mm headphone jack. Right now, they are reportedly preparing a new version with a USB-C connector. Logically, it is directly suggested that these will be intended for the new iPhone 15, which will no longer use Lightning due to EU regulations. Of course, they can also be used with iPads or MacBooks.

This duo then accompanies Apple in-ear headphones with remote control and microphone. Although they are listed in the store, they are currently sold out and probably sold out. However, Apple says they offer professional audio performance and superior noise isolation. Handy buttons allow you to adjust the volume, control music and video playback, and even answer and end calls on your iPhone. Each of the headphones contains two separate high-performance drivers - a mid-bass and a treble. The result is rich, detailed and accurate sound reproduction and amazing bass performance for all types of music (frequency response is 5 Hz to 21 kHz and impedance 23 ohms). Their price is CZK 2.

Apple in-ear headphones

The classic EarPod costs CZK 590, no matter which connector you choose. But what are we going to talk about? The fact that the quality of the reproduction is not the same as in the case of earplugs is directly striking from their stone construction. So even if a new version of them is released, everything will remain the same, including the quality, and only the connector will change. In the age of TWS, it may seem pointless, but wired headphones are slowly coming back into fashion.

We want EarPods Pro

Not everyone is a fan of completely wireless headphones, and just from the experience with the Beats brand, Apple could bring them an adequate solution under its company's banner. After all, it could be based on the design of AirPods Pro, which it would just connect with a cable and thus eliminate the need for charging. Control functions and other technical conveniences that Pro models have should not be missing either. But the problem here is probably in the form of the Beats brand, which could therefore be unnecessarily stolen by Apple (even though it does the same thing with AirPods). But hope dies last.
