Part of the Apple fans are impatiently waiting for the arrival of the new AirPods 3 headphones. For a long time, specifically since 2019, we have not seen any improvements. The second generation only brought support for wireless charging, Hey Siri, and better battery life. In any case, an interesting news flew through the Internet today, according to which the giant from Cupertino is going to introduce the expected AirPods already on Tuesday, May 18, via a press release. A YouTuber came up with it Luke miani.

What the new headphones could look like:

The new third-generation AirPods should be very close to the Pro model in terms of design, but will lack its features. Therefore, we should not count on the option for active suppression of ambient noise. In addition, the aforementioned AirPods Pro model was also introduced through a press release in 2019. However, we should approach the latest speculation regarding the May presentation of the third generation with caution. There had already been talk of this product entering the market, which did not happen in the end. On the contrary, the original prediction of a recognized analyst named Ming-Chi Kuo, who successfully refuted reports regarding the introduction of these headphones in March, was confirmed. Kuo also added at the time that Apple will start mass production only in the third quarter of this year.

In addition to the aforementioned AirPods 3, we could also expect improvements to the Apple Music service. The Apple company is said to bring a brand new subscription plan that would feature significantly better sound quality and is simultaneously referred to as the HiFi plan among speculations. However, no further information about this potential possibility is known. In any case, the foreign portal MacRumors found a mention in the beta version of the iOS 14.6 operating system that HiFi Apple Music will only work with compatible hardware.

So whether the new third-generation AirPods or the new HiFi subscription plan in the Apple Music service will actually be introduced next week is unclear for the time being. In any case, it seems as a more likely version that we will hear about these news only at the WWDC developer conference in June.
