Apple is preparing a new function, thanks to which every user of an Apple product, or each owner of an Apple ID account to see what information Apple stores about them on its servers. The feature should be available within the next two months through the Apple ID management website.
The Bloomberg agency came up with the information, according to which Apple will prepare a tool that will allow you to download a complete record of everything Apple knows about you. This document will contain information about contacts, photos, music preferences, information from the calendar, notes, tasks, etc.
With this move, Apple wants to show users what information the company has available. In addition, it will also be possible to edit, delete or completely deactivate the entire Apple ID here. None of the options listed above is currently possible. Users do not have the option to download "their" data from Apple's servers, just as it is not possible to simply delete an Apple ID account.
Apple is resorting to this step based on the new regulation of the European Union (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR), which requires similar steps and which comes into effect in May of this year. The new tool will be available for European users at the end of May, Apple should gradually enable this function for users in other markets.

SUPER-FINALLY, 10 YEARS AGO I WAS SO MAD THAT I PUT MY REAL NAME AND ADDRESS IN THE EPL ID. HOLT I WAS GUESS STUPID. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW SOMEONE CAN HAVE A FB TODAY WITH A REAL NAME. IF I HAD A FB, JAN NOVAK IS THE ONLY NAME I NEED…..
The worst thing about this is the word "regulation", when the EU dictates something. Although I agree that it is not right for peeps to store and trade sensitive information of "their" clients, GDPR will not solve their bastardism, it only bullies and makes it impossible (or makes it difficult to) better services from decent companies and at the same time makes these services more expensive. Much more context needs to be given about the famous GDPR! ?
