Yesterday, Apple released a large package of applications for applications belonging to iWork - that is, system productivity applications for the operating systems iOS, iPadOS and macOS. Pages, Keynote and Numbers received new functions.

For example, the trio of applications mentioned above received the possibility of extended graphic editing of texts, including the use of special gradients or external images and styles. Newly, images, shapes or various labels can be placed arbitrarily together with the pinned text field. The application can now recognize faces from embedded photos.

As for Pages, Apple added several new templates and expanded the possibilities of working with them. The iOS version now has new bullet points graphics, the ability to add words to the integrated dictionary, create hyperlinks to other sheets in the document, support for copying and pasting entire pages, new options for inserting tables, modified Apple Pencil support and much more. The version for macOS contains practically the same amount of news as the version for iOS.

Keynote received a new option to edit the main slides of the presentation when working with multiple users, and the iOS version received advanced functions for programming the Apple Pencil for presentation needs. The new options for creating and editing bullets and lists are the same as in Pages.

Numbers has primarily seen improved performance on iOS and macOS devices, especially when working with large amounts of data. Advanced filtering options, expanded support for Apple Pencil in the case of the iOS version, and the ability to create specialized sheets are new here.

Updates for all three apps on all supported platforms are available as of yesterday evening. The iWork program package is available for free to all owners of iOS or macOS devices. You can read the complete list of changes on the profiles of individual applications in the (Mac) App Store.
