The situation around the Mac Pro has calmed down somewhat. Anyway, during the day yesterday, Apple quietly updated its most professional computer, the Mac Pro, which received the possibility of new graphics cards. Namely, these are the Radeon Pro W6800X MPX, Radeon Pro W6800X Duo MPX and Radeon Pro W6900X MPX models. These are so-called high-end components, which in terms of performance surpass the graphics cards offered so far. In terms of numbers, they should offer up to 23% higher performance in the DaVinci Resolve program and 84% higher performance in Octane X.

The Mac Pro is known for being designed for the needs of professionals, which of course can be diverse. Precisely for this reason, the computer can be configured in several ways and relatively easily exceed the threshold of one million crowns. It is therefore not surprising that even the new GPUs are priced somewhere else entirely. You will pay 6800 crowns for the Radeon Pro W72X MPX card, while the price rises to 150 crowns when you buy a module with two graphics cards. When buying a Radeon Pro W6800X Duo, you will need 138 crowns, while two will cost you 288 crowns. The Radeon Pro W6900X card then costs 168 crowns, in the case of buying two the amount will exceed a quarter of a million. Specifically, it will cost you 348 thousand crowns.

But what if someone already owns a Mac Pro, but still needs to buy a more powerful graphics card? This is exactly why Apple started selling individual cards and separately, thus targeting existing computer owners. Specifically, the Radeon Pro W6800X MPX modules are available for 84 crowns, the Radeon Pro W6800X Duo for 150 crowns and the Radeon Pro W6900X for 180 crowns. All the changes are already available in the Online Store for purchase.
