Both of Apple's photo management and editing applications, iPhoto and Aperture, have received a minor update. The biggest innovation in both applications is the shared library. Aperture 3.3 and iPhoto 9.3 now share the same photo library, so you don't have to import photos into each separately and they sync for you at the same time Places i Faces.

In Aperture you will find new functions for white balance (Skin tone, Simple Gray) as well as one-click auto-balance. Color adjustments, shadow and highlight tools have also been improved, as well as a button to automatically enhance the image. Both applications are newly adapted for the new MacBook Pro with Retina display. Detailed information about updates can be found either in System preferences or in the Mac App Store, where you can also find the update.
