AirTag should serve as a tracking device for your items. The ring-shaped device is expected to have its own operating system and rely on Bluetooth in combination with the new U1 directional chip. All new iPhones 11 and iPhone 11 Pro / Max currently have it.
Thanks to it and augmented reality, you will be able to search for your objects directly in the camera, and iOS will show you the location in the "real world". All AirTag items can be found in the new "Find" app that came with the iOS 13 operating systems a macOS 10.15 Catalina.
Apple registers the AirTag trademark through another company
Meanwhile, Apple has applied for the registration of a device that emits a radio signal and is used to identify location. The request was submitted through an as yet unknown entity. Server MacRumors however, managed to follow the tracks and find out that it could be an Apple proxy company.
This is not the first time the company has covered its tracks like this. Finally, a clear identifier is the law firm Baker & McKenzie, which has branches in the largest countries in the world, including the Russian Federation. It was there that the request to grant registration appeared.
After the initial rejection and redesign, it looks like the AirTag will be approved in the Russian market. This August, consent was granted and the parties were given 30 days to express their objections. These did not happen, and on October 1, the definitive approval and granting of rights to GPS Avion LLC took place.
According to sources, this is the company Apple, which is proceeding in this way in keeping upcoming products secret. It remains to be seen when the AirTag registration form will appear in other countries and when it will actually be released. Considering the amount of references in the code, this may be early.
